Document version: 2026-11-01 · DEMO onboarding · Review with independent legal counsel before commercial release
Important risk and rights notice. This document cannot waive mandatory statutory rights or protect unlawful conduct. Read the full text; do not rely on headline summaries.

Capital may be lost

Trading foreign exchange, contracts for difference, indices, synthetic indices, commodities and other leveraged instruments is speculative and high risk. You may lose 100% of the money allocated to trading and, where broker terms permit, may incur losses exceeding your deposit. Do not risk money needed for housing, food, debt payments or essential needs.

No profit representations

No strategy, signal, algorithm, stop-loss or take-profit guarantees an outcome. Past performance, promotional results, hypothetical backtests, paper trading and DEMO balances do not predict future results. A profitable simulated strategy may lose money in live markets.

Automation and model error

Automated software may open, modify and close positions without asking you for each order once separately authorised. Models can misread prices, repeat signals, use wrong volumes or symbols, select poor entries and continue during unfavourable markets. Risk settings, stop orders, circuit breakers and monitoring can fail, be delayed or behave differently from their design.

Execution and infrastructure failures

Latency, gaps, spread changes, requotes, partial fills, rejected orders, disconnections, power cuts, time synchronisation faults, broker limits, outages and reconciliation failures can cause slippage or positions with unexpected exposure. Stop-loss orders are not guaranteed to execute at the specified level, and risk can exceed the requested stop. A displayed dashboard state might lag the actual broker account.

Broker and market-specific risks

Deriv synthetic indices have broker-defined properties distinct from exchange-traded assets. CFDs may be leveraged and may have financing, spreads, margin close-out and counterparty risk. Brokers can suspend instruments, change minimum volumes or restrict trading. Review the broker's separate risk statements and order specifications.

Control responsibilities

You are responsible for understanding your risk tolerance, monitoring broker statements and maintaining direct broker access. You may revoke authorisation, disconnect APIs or close positions through the broker; revocation may not cancel pending orders or automatically close open positions. Never assume the APEX dashboard alone proves that a trade is closed.

DEMO versus LIVE

Current onboarding is for DEMO access review only. DEMO trading uses simulated balances and may omit liquidity and behavioural pressures. Live trading must remain unavailable unless separately authorised and independently permitted by the relevant service and broker.
